INITIAL CONSULTATION

For your first chiropractic visit, please expect 40 minutes for a thorough history, physical assessment, and treatment. If you have any relevant investigations (x-rays, bone scans, medical reports, etc) please bring them with you to your visit.

As part of your assessment, you will be asked to move into different positions to assess full ranges of motion, muscle length and muscle strength. Please wear/bring cloths that allows you to move freely. In some instances exposure of your back may be required. Gowns are available if needed.

If this is your first chiropractic visit and you are a bit anxious or nervous, please feel free to bring a friend or family to join you in the treatment room for support.

Please come 5 minutes prior to your treatment time to complete the required forms.

REGULAR EXAMINATION

Subsequent visits are 20 minutes long and are intended for treatment of a previously examined area.

These visits are not intended to examine new areas for treatment.

Your first session with the physiotherapist will include a thorough evaluation of your injury; assessing your movement, strength, range of motion and functional limitations. Working in collaboration, we create a personalized treatment plan to address your goals; whether working on an old, nagging injury or something new. You can expect a combination of manual therapy, movement rehabilitation, exercise prescription, and lifestyle guidance during your sessions.

Clinical Pilates, based on the principles of Joseph Pilates, helps patients to rehabilitate injuries or movement dysfunctions using personalized, physiotherapist-guided reformer or mat sessions. If this is your first visit, you can expect a movement assessment prior to assess range of motion, strength, and functional limitations. Each session will offer movement therapy and exploration integrated with manual therapy, precise cues, and breathwork to help address your goals.

Note: a physiotherapy receipt will be provided to you at the end of the session

Cupping / Gua Sha (40 min)

A restorative facial treatment combining a relaxing facial massage with gentle facial acupuncture.

The treatment begins with a soothing facial massage incorporating gentle sculpting and lymphatic-inspired techniques to encourage circulation, promote relaxation, and support the appearance of facial contours and skin vitality. This is followed by personalized facial acupuncture to complement your individual goals and create a deeply relaxing, restorative experience.

For the best experience, we recommend arriving with a clean face and little to no makeup, allowing the massage and acupuncture treatment to be performed comfortably and directly on the skin.

Facial acupuncture uses very fine needles and is generally well tolerated. Small pinpoint marks, temporary redness, or occasional minor bruising may occur and typically resolve naturally.

A relaxing treatment combining traditional cupping and/or gua sha techniques, customized to your areas of tension and individual needs.

Cupping uses specially designed cups placed on the skin to create gentle suction. This technique can be used on areas such as the back, shoulders, and neck and is often enjoyed for its deeply relaxing and soothing effect.

Gua Sha is a traditional technique using a smooth-edged tool to gently massage and glide along the skin. It can be incorporated into areas of muscular tension and is commonly used to promote a sense of relaxation and circulation.

Cupping and gua sha may leave temporary redness or circular marks, and mild bruising can occasionally occur. These effects are generally temporary and fade naturally.

1. Cancellation Period:

To cancel your appointment without incurring a fee, please provide at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled appointment time.

2. Cancellation Fee:

If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours' notice or fail to attend your appointment without notice, a cancellation fee of up to the full value of your appointment will be applied.
